To allow for thermal conduction, INPRO® MOERS has selected the finest possible thermocouple wires, of dia. 0.5 mm and dia. 0.8 mm. To improve durability, diameters of less than 0.5 mm should be used only in cases in which rapid temperature changes are to be measured, or the object to be measured has a low heat capacity. Thermal conduction must then be kept particularly low.
Original TÜV attestation: “We hereby confirm that the INPRO® MOERS TE V90 thermocouple precision spot welder can be used without reservation for welding of NiCr-Ni thermocouples with diameters of 0.5 and 0.8 mm to ferritic, austenitic and Ni-based materials without preheating.”
